Īndrea Tschemplik is associate professor of philosophy and religion at American University and teaches a variety of courses in the history of philosophy, as well as thematic courses such as the philosophy of love and friendship. Most recently he wrote Philosophical Adventures, The Road Traveled and Other Essays, and Inside Academia: Professors, Politics, and Policies. He is the author or editor of more than sixty books.
